Our Level 1 awards ensure that employees from all food sectors are equipped with a basic knowledge of food safety to enable them to produce safe food.

Level 2 awards ensure that food handlers are aware that food handlers are aware of the hazards and controls associated with the types of food they produce.

 

Course Content:

Understand the importance of food safety, including hygiene,

in the preparation and handling of food.

Understand the importance of PPE and good hand washing

technique in the handling of food.

How bacteria multiply and how to prevent bacteria from multiplying.

How to safely and correctly store food.

Knowledge on the use of food boards, cleaning and disinfecting worktops.

Correct disposal of food wastage.
